Hello Everyone and welcome to Storytime With Alyssa!!!
Today I am going to tell you about this project that I started on March 27, 2020 that has grown into an ABSOLUTE joy during these hard times.
On March 26, I was sent home from work due to COVID 19 social distancing measures being put into place. I told the family that I work for that I would send them a video each day to the little guy could have some entertainment…today was day 33 of storytime with Alyssa.
After sending the family the first video, I decided to post it to my @alykrysgetsfit instagram account. It has over 2k views as of today! I am astonished!! On March 30, I created a separate account just for storytime content. As I did not want to overload my wellness loving followers with childrens songs and stories. Here is the link to that account. I have been posting IGTV or short videos almost daily! I also host storytime on zoom a few times a week, and it is SO much fun.
This project has been a creative outlet for me, as well as a way for me to help give parents a bit of a break during these difficult times. If I get enough interest, I will host zoom storytime even when I can go back to work (but on weekends) as it is bringing joy to kids all over the world, and it fills my heart.
